Lamb of God, Our Souls Adore You

Music by Charles C. Converse, words by James G. Deck

Lamb of God, our souls adore You
While upon Your face we gaze;
There the Father's love and glory
Shine in all their brightest rays;
Your almighty power and wisdom
All creation's works proclaim;
Heaven and earth alike confess You
As the ever great I Am.

Lamb of God, when we behold You
Lowly in the manger laid,
Wandering as a homeless stranger
In the world Your hands have made,
When we see You in the garden
In Your agony of blood,
At Your grace we are confounded,
Holy, spotless Lamb of God!

When we see You as the victim,
Nailed for us upon the cross,
For our guilt and folly stricken,
Saving us from sin and loss,
Lord, we sing with hearts adoring,
There for us You gave Your blood;
Glory, glory everlasting
Be to You, dear Lamb of God.

Lamb of God, You now are seated
High upon Your Father's throne;
All Your gracious work completed,
All Your mighty victory won.
Every knee in heaven is bending
To the Lamb for sinners slain;
Every voice and heart is swelling,
Worthy is the Lamb to reign.
