Lord, Accept Our Joyful Song

Music by George Frideric Handel; arr. William H. Monk, words by Thomas Kelly

Lord, accept our joyful song;
Power and praise to You belong;
We would all Your grace record,
Holy, holy, holy Lord!

Rich in glory, but made low,
This is all Your people's hope;
You were poor, that we might be
Rich with You eternally.

When we think of love like this,
Joy and shame our hearts possess;
Joy, that You could pity thus,
Shame, for such returns from us.

Yet we soon the day shall see,
When we shall from sin be free:
When, to You in glory brought,
We shall serve You as we ought.
