Lord Jesus, We Remember

Music by Frederick C. Maker, words by James G. Deck

Lord Jesus, we remember
The travail of Your soul,
When through Your love's deep pity,
The waves did o'er You roll;
Baptized in death's dark waters,
For us Your blood was shed;
For us You, Lord of glory,
Were numbered with the dead.

O Lord! You now are risen,
Your travail all is o'er;
For sin You once have suffered,
You live to die no more;
Sin, death and hell are vanquished
By You, the church's Head;
And, now we share Your triumphs,
O Firstborn from the dead.

Unto Your death we're baptized,
We own with You we died:
With You, our Life, we're risen,
And shall be glorified.
From sin, the world and Satan,
We're ransomed by Your blood,
And here would walk as strangers,
Alive with You to God.
